Aisle Markers

Photos by Five By Five Photography & Design
For the chapel's aisle markers, I printed out the lines to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, which was part of the second reading during our wedding ceremony. This was a project that came together very quickly and was easy to complete, making a big impact during our ceremony.

This project was also cheap! I used brown craft paper to print out each part of the verse with Courier font, as this was easier to read than the typewriter font I had used for the other wedding printables. Each sheet just needed two holes punched, then I used brown ribbons that had been included with the invitation kits I had purchased (on clearance!). We didn't use the ribbons on the invitations as they didn't stay on in the envelopes, so this was a great way to use them!

We secured them to the pews with some tape to make sure they stayed in place throughout the ceremony. They looked great, and were so easy to do! And, now we have them to use as decorative reminders of the vows we made to each other on our wedding day.

Creative Crumbs: Jenn & Jermaine : Nashville Wedding

For our cakes, we were lucky enough to go with a lovely friend, Abby from Creative Crumbs in East Nashville. I didn't want a super decorated/covered-with-flowers kind of design, and wanted to have a dessert bar as well, so we didn't go with a very large main cake. Abby worked with us to create two wonderfully simple cakes that matched our desires perfectly. She not only provided a delicious Groom's cake with piano key edging and a Snoopy design on top (Jermaine is a HUGE Peanuts fan!!), but a family recipe Viennese Torte that is famous in my family!! The cakes were absolutely stunning, and even better, were delicious!! Our families and friends loved the cakes and we had very few left over slices, which we took on our honeymoon ;) We were so thankful to work with Abby on this and see her creative genius at work! You can check out her new bakery location in East Nashville at 707 Porter Road, Nashville, TN, 37206. See her blog post below, and check out some of her other creative designs!
